ABOUT RIVONIA TENNIS CLUB:

Rivonia Tennis club is one of the best venues in Jo’burg for both Social and league tennis players alike.

The Tennis Club offers an excellent variety of tennis programs for all members. Whether it’s the annual Club Championships, leagues, social tennis or round robins there is plenty of tennis for all levels of play.

We have 6 tennis courts, 4 of which have lights. Our coaching team is led by Derik Swanepoel and caters for coaching of all levels of play, from beginner to tournament players.

After your game you can enjoy the perfect Highveld weather with a bitterly cold beer or cold drink, and socialize on the terrace or in the bar.

SOCIAL WEEKEND TENNIS: 

Doubles and Mixed is played on weekends by members :
– Saturday from 1:30pm
– Sunday from 9:00am

NON-MEMBERS:
Keen on joining Rivonia? We welcome players of all standards to try out by coming down on a weekend or speaking to the local coach – Derik.
Depending on your playing ability you are welcome to join as a member.

COACHING:
We have a team of 8 coaches taking people of all ages and abilities for lessons.

MEMBERSHIP (2026):

Full Senior Membership:
Saturday organised social tennis, leagues & championships.
Adequate level of play required to join.
R 3,400 per person (Additional TSA fee to be paid directly)

Student Membership:
Scholars & University students who qualify for Full Membership.
R 2,000 per person

Off-Peak Membership:
Monday to Friday, Saturday mornings & Sundays
R 2,600 per person

Junior Membership – under 16:
Saturday organised social tennis, leagues & championships
R 1,400 per person

Non-Sport Social:
Discounted pub rates on our already low prices, and other added benefits. 
R 800 per person
